Who can be buried in the Truckee Cemetery. 

​The Truckee Cemetery District was created to ensure that the residents and their families of the Fifth District of Nevada County, California would have a formal burial area for generations to come.  

Those that are allowed to purchase burial rights here are Nevada County Fifth District residents who are paying property taxes, Non-residents who have a family member interred in the Sierra Mountain Cemetery or those that acquired the rights prior to leaving the Truckee District.  

The Truckee Cemetery District allows interments in the new sections of the Sierra Mountain Cemetery, Inurnments in the Gazebo, and Inurnments within family plots.  This may also include in the Older family plots in the Historical IOOF, Masonic and Old Truckee Cemetery also known as the Catholic Cemetery; under certain conditions.
